Do you want to see a Dads Club in your school?
A long-term piece of support for your staff and students
One of our major pieces of work involves going in to school settings and establishing a Dads Club.
How many times have you been to a school event and seen the numbers skewed heavily towards Mums being present?
As children, both of our Directors grew up with Dads who were on the periphery of school life whether that was due to their location in the world in one example or lack of energy to engage with the school in the other.
Even today, female caregivers are still seen as the educational decision makers for children. However, the same research tells us that positive relationships between schools and father figures improves pupils’ engagement, behaviour, confidence and future career pathways.
Our aim is simple: To provide dedicated, positive time for Dads and children in the school setting.
Ofsted emphasises that education is most effective when schools and families are working in unison.
Aligned with the Educational Endowment Foundation and DfE guidance regarding Pupil Premium, this means that our sessions are value for money.
We design the fun and informal sessions, before coming in to your school setting and delivering them to your male caregivers and children.
We know Safeguarding in your school is going to be a the top of your agenda. All of our team are DBS checked and we will work with your Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure that the attendees are suitable for the session.
We primarily work with schools in Herefordshire as that is where we are based. If you are a school leader, governor or trustee and would like to find out more about our Dads Club project, please contact us today.
